Thank
you for your interest in HOUSE FOODS AMERICA CORPORATION. We have
prepared a brief profile of our company for your benefit.
The goal of House Foods America Corporation (HFA), one of the largest
Tofu manufacturers in the United States is two-fold:
1. To provide the best products to consumers and customers.
2. To bring the rich Japanese food culture to the United States.
House Foods America Corporation (HFAC) is composed of three operations.
Its core operation is the manufacturing and distribution of Tofu products.
The second operation is the importing of processed foods, manufactured
by its parent company, House Foods Corporation, Japan (HFC). House
Foods is Japan's largest packager of spices, as well as a manufacturer
and seller of processed cooking preparations such as our popular
curry and stew mixes and ready-to-heat (retort) foodstuffs. The
third operation is the managing of a chain of curry restaurants, which
now has grown to six locations in the greater Los Angeles area.
In 1981, a sales office was established in Los Angeles, to introduce
Japanese style curry to America. In 1983, HFC acquired the Hinoichi
Tofu manufacturing facility, one of the oldest and most respected
brands in the country, which produces House Premium Tofu brand.
In the same year, the first Curry House restaurant
was opened in LA's Little Tokyo district, presenting to Americans,
Japanese Food with twist!
In 1997, a new state-of-the-art facility was completed in Garden Grove,
California. HFAC, then, moved its Tofu manufacturing facility there.
At that time, all three operations were consolidated at this one location
for smoother business functions.
The New York office was opened in 2000, to expand its business further
on the East Coast.
The House Foods America Corporation's goal is to bring Japanese culture
to America via the rich and tasty tradition of Japanese food.
We hope everyone gets a chance to experience House Foods products!
