Blot excess water from Tofu by patting between paper towels. Season
Tofu with salt and pepper.
Soak scallions in water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
In a 12-inch skillet, heat vegetable oil. Sauté Tofu until golden
brown on all sides. Add garlic and red pepper, and cook until garlic
is softened. Add butter and Teriyaki sauce and heat till butter
is melted and the sauce is hot.
Place Tofu steaks onto serving platter. Pour remaining sauce over
the Tofu steaks, top with slivered scallions.
