INGREDIENTS:

  1 Package House Tofu Steak Garlic & Pepper  
  2 Tbs Cracked Black Pepper  
  1/2 lbs Spinach Leaves, Cleaned  
   
SAUCE:  
  1/2 cup Shallot  
  1Tbs Garlic, Sliced  
  1 1/2 cup Red Wine  
  1/2 cup Chicken Stock  
  1/2 cup Heavy Cream  
  2 Tbs Butter  
  1Tbs Cooking Oil  
  1/2 Tbs Salt

DIRECTIONS:
   
   
  SAUCE: In a saucepan, lightly sauté shallot and garlic with 1 tbs butter. Cook on medium heat until brown, add red wine and chicken stock. Keep it on medium heat until the liquid is reduced to 1/4 amount. Add heavy cream, 1 tbs butter and mix well. Add salt and keep it warm, set it aside.

Drain water out of Tofu well. Cut each tofu in a round shape using a ring cutter. Spread black pepper on the flat plate. Place Tofu on the peppered plate. Press gently only on one side. In a preheated sauté pan, pour cooking oil, and place tofu with the pepper side down. Cook for about 3 mins, turn and cook for another 3 mins. Blanch spinach in boiling water. Drain water well. Place Tofu on the bed of spinach and pour sauce around.
