  Tofu Steak with Asian Mushroom Sauce   To Recipe List
   
INGREDIENTS:

  1 (19 oz) Package House Tofu Steak Original, drained  
  8 oz Shiitake mushrooms, sliced  
  8 oz white mushrooms, sliced  
  1 garlic clove, minced
  1 tsp. Italian parsley, chopped  
  1 Tbs. vegetable oil  
  1 Tbs. butter  
  1 Tbs. soy sauce  
  Salt and pepper, to taste

PREP TIME: 8 minutes         COOK TIME: 5 minutes

For this recipe use House Tofu Steak Original



DIRECTIONS:
   

 
  FOR TOFU STEAK:
Heat 1/2 Tbsp. oil in a medium sauté pan. Add Tofu and combine 1/2 Tbsp. butter and 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce.

Cook until golden brown. Cut Tofu into 8 slices. Salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

FOR ASIAN MUSHROOM SAUCE:
Add the rest of the oil, butter and garlic into a separate pan. Add white mushrooms, Shiitake mushrooms, and the remainder of the soy sauce. Pepper to taste.

To serve, pour the sauce over the Tofu and sprinkle with Italian parsley.
