Tofu Nugget

A quick-and-easy nugget that makes for a great kid-friendly, afterschool snack.

Cooking Directions

Frying oil should be set to 350°F

  • In a food processor combine tofu with all ingredients except vegetables.
  • Once ingredients have been combined well, fold in vegetables.
  • Form mixture into round or oval shaped flattened nuggets.
  • Coat nuggets in a bit of cornstarch and carefully drop them into frying oil. Fry nuggets into a few batches at a time.
  • Once nuggets have browned, remove them from oil and let cool.
  • Serve warm with your favorite sauce on the side.


  • 1 pkg. House Foods Extra Firm Tofu
  • ¼ cup. all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup potato flour
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1½ Tbsp. nutritional yeast
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup carrots, shredded
  • ¼ cup white onion, chopped
  • ¼ cup scallions, chopped
