Tofu Meat Loaf

A perfect introductory meal for those looking to start incorporating tofu into their diet, blending ground beef and tofu with all the spices of a traditional meat loaf.

Cooking Directions

  • Sauté onion and garlic in a pan until brown. Set aside to cool.
  • In large bowl, crumble tofu or mash with potato masher. Combine ground beef, onions and garlic with mashed tofu. Add bread crumbs, pepper and garlic powder and mix well.
  • In a small bowl, combine tomato sauce and brown sugar. Mix thoroughly.
  • Bake loaf at 350°F for 15 minutes. Pour tomato sauce over loaf and bake an additional 30 minutes or until cooked through. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing to serve.

  • 1 pkg. House Foods Tofu Firm, drained and pressed
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • ⅓ onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs (plain)
  • 1 (15 oz.) jar of tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
