Tofu Steak with Sweet Spicy Walnut Sauce

Crispy tofu is topped with a sweet and spicy gochujang and sriracha sauce then topped with crunchy walnuts.

Cooking Directions

  • In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sugar, sriracha sauce and gochujang. Add walnuts and scallions and toss to coat. Set aside.
  • Put enough cornstarch to coat tofu into a shallow plate or bowl. Cut tofu into half and coat all sides of each halved tofu with cornstarch.
  • In a non-stick skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. When the oil gets hot, put both tofu into the skillet and cook all sides of both tofu until golden brown (8-10 minutes total). Take the tofu steaks out of the skillet and place one tofu steak on each serving plate.
  • Put the walnut sauce on top of each tofu steak evenly.

  • 1 pkg. House Foods Tofu Firm, drained and pressed
  • 1/3 cup roasted chopped walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp. low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. Gochujang
  • ½ tsp. sriracha sauce
  • 2 scallions, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • cornstarch, to coat tofu
