Mixed Rice With Savory Orange Tofu Cutlet

A reduced calorie version to fried rice, this mixed rice is just as full of flavor without breaking a sweat

Cooking Directions

  • In a rice cooker, add rice and water. Cook rice.
  • Before rice is done (about 8 min. remaining), quickly open the rice cooker and add in tofu, remaining sauce, vegetables, ginger, soy sauce, and mirin and stir.
  • Once rice is done, add scallions and orange zest. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

** Could you Tofu Cutlet Spicy Garlic or Teriyaki instead, if desire.


  • 2 pkgs. House Foods Savory Orange Tofu Cutlet, cubed (reserve leftover sauce in package for recipe)
  • 1½ cup rice of choice
  • 1¾ cup water
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (fresh or thawed from frozen)
  • 3 Tbsp. reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. mirin
  • ½ tsp. ginger powder
  • 1 scallion, sliced
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • Orange zest for garnish
