Scrumptious Tofu and Leek in Spicy Black Bean Sauce

Tofu sauté in spicy black bean sauce and sweeten with leek. This dish will be a great complement with a bowl of rice!

Cooking Directions

  • In a heated non-stick pan with 2 tablespoons oil, pan fry tofu until they turn golden brown on all sides (flip few times). Drain on a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Set aside.⁣
  • Using the same pan (add a little oil if needed), sauté garlic, leek and bell pepper until fragrant. Add in all sauces, stock and tofu along with a pinch of sugar, if using. Cover lid and let simmer for 1 minute. Drizzle sesame oil before serving with your favorite grain.

  • 1 pkg. House Foods Tofu Firm, drain well and pat dry, cut into thin rectangle/triangle (as pictured)⁣
  • 1 leek (white and green part only), thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. spicy black bean sauce⁣
  • 2 tsp. soy sauce⁣
  • 1 tsp. garlic, minced⁣
  • ¼ cup bell pepper, diced⁣
  • few handful of chopped scallions⁣
  • ¼ cup water or stock⁣
  • pinch of organic sugar (optional)⁣
  • oil, sesame oil⁣
