Tofu Bolognese

Delicious plant-based bolognese sauce made with tofu.

Cooking Directions

  • Fry the onion and garlic in a large pot. After 5 mins, add in carrots, celery, seasoning, and tomato pasta.
  • Sauté until well-incorporated, then pour in tomatoes and crumble in the tofu. Cover the pot and let simmer for 10-15 mins, until the sauce is thickened. Serve with cooked pasta & enjoy!

Ingredients

  • ½ pkg. House Foods Tofu Extra Firm
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large carrots, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 2 tsp. Italian herbs
  • ½ tsp. dried oregano,
  • ½ tsp. chili flakes
  • ½ tsp. salt and pepper, or to taste
  • 3 Tbsp. tomato paste
  • 500g crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • 2-3 portions cooked pasta
