Sesame Tofu Cold Noodles

Cold sesame noodle with tofu and veggies made with all your pantry staples. A summer must-have.

Cooking Directions

  • To make tofu sauce: Whisk ingredients together until well combined. Set aside.
  • To make noodle sauce: Whisk ingredients together until well combined. Set aside.
  • In a heated non-stick pan with a little oil, pan fry tofu strips until lightly golden brown on each side. Then, push tofu aside, and add a little more oil, sauté garlic & ginger until fragrant, add in tofu sauce and coat well, let tofu absorb all the sauce. Turn off heat, taste test and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Set aside.⁣
  • Place cooked and drained noodles in a big bowl, toss with sauce and veggies - serve as is or with more crispy chili flakes.⁣

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. House Foods Tofu Firm, drained well and cut into strips⁣
  • 1 - 2 bunch of dried udon noodles (cooked based on package instructions and rinse with ice water, set aside)⁣
  • 1 cup shredded carrots and cucumbers, more if you like
  • 1 tsp. grated ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Sesame seeds & oil, salt to taste⁣

Tofu sauce:

  • 1 Tbsp. tamari or coconut amino or soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • Drizzle of maple syrup⁣

Noodle sauce:

  • 1 Tbsp. tamari or soy sauce
  • 3 tsp. sesame paste
  • 3 tsp. chili crisp
  • 2 tsp. maple syrup
  • 1-2 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1-2 Tbsp. hot water, to thin down sesame paste
